If you’re coming to Barcelona and looking for a place to eat a bit away from the city, with a rustic touch, Masia Sant Cugat might be a great option.
Located at Sant Cugat del Valles, a beautiful little town 15 minutes away from Barcelona by car, this restaurant placed in a typical Catalan ‘masia’ of the XIX century has 6 different saloons that combine rustic decoration with elegant and modern touches.
One of the greatest things about Masia Sant Cugat, besides its panoramic views of the Tibidabo mountains, is of course the dishes of its chef Javier Villero (who has word with chef Santamaria for several years), that offers a menu based on traditional Catalan dishes with a refined style and a Mediterranean touch.
Their ‘canelones’ (a traditional dish of pasta filled with meat), their salmon tartar or the avocado carpaccio are only some of our recommendations. In addition, traditional desserts such as the fruit salad with berris coulis or the classic Tatin pie complete a menu that is focused on bringing the tradition of this area and its history to their guests.
