Many years after its arrival to the city, brunch has become quite a thing in Barcelona. Who doesn’t love to have breakfast at any time of the day?
But an inevitable question emerges: which is the best brunch in the city? Here in Alizée Lifestyle we love to bring you some hot recommendations for living the city like a local, so you can’t miss our selection of three of the best brunches you can enjoy in the city.
The veggie option: Flax & Kale
It’s beautiful terrace, along with the experience of its owners (creators of Teresa Carles, the most famous vegetarian restaurant in the city) and its perfect location, right in the middle of Barcelona, make Flax & Kale one of the best options for vegetarian food lovers. The weekend brunch is served from 10 am to 5pm, so you can’t miss it.
The chic option: Hotel Majestic
Located in Passeig de Gràcia, the most exclusive street in the city, Hotel Majestic’s brunch starts with a glass of Moët&Chandon and continues with a cold buffet that includes seafood, salmon blinis or caviar. Then, the show-cooking begins with an offer of amazing dishes that include the classic (Benedict eggs, for instance) or more delicate plates such as a mushroom risotto and, or course, a great selection of sweets and desserts.
The classic option: Federal Cafe
Federal Cafe was one of the first spots in Barcelona offering the brunch formula and, because of that, they deserve a place on this list. Their original location was Sant Antoni, one of the most hipsters neighborhoods in town, although now you can also find them at Born. Don’t miss the opportunity of trying their toasts and pies.
