Coffee culture is start to becoming a real thing in Barcelona these days. Black Remedy, located in the Gothic neighborhood, is a new Deli & Coffee Concept Store that has just arrived to the city.
Placed very close to Plaça Sant Jaume (one of the main squares in Barcelona), Black Remedy is an invitation to stop for a moment and enjoy a great coffee while watching the people pass by through their big windows.
Jordi López has been the architect in charge of creating this space, characterized by its high ceilings, along with the interior design of Marcelo Abrigador (founder of Lab-Art). The space combines old elements with poli-chromatic details and it’s kind of a tribute to the old 19th century cafes. All of its furniture has been specially created for there and combine metals and wood, that along with the marble and some neon details give this space a unique personality.
As for their offer, Black Remedy is specialized on comfort food (and of course, great coffee) and they are becoming famous for their pulled pork sandwich, their cold-pressed juices or some healthy options such as complete salads.
The coffee, the great protagonist there, comes from small artisans toasters (Right Side, Puchero and Tussell) and it’s prepared in a magnifique Slayer machine that welcomes you to come in and enjoy one of the best cups of coffee in the city.
