If you’re planning to spend holidays in Ibiza this summer, you certainly can not miss a visit to Formentera, its little sister, a small island that still maintains some true hippy spirit.
As you may already read on this blog, Formentera is full of great options to enjoy a nice meal or a cocktail with friends. One of this options is Can Carlitos, a beach restaurant created by chef Nandu Jubany.
Opened last summer, Can Carlitos is kind of the small brother of Can Carlos, also in Formentera, a true classic in the island. This new version, now with the help of the Catalan chef, counts with an opened cuisine and a great terrace that makes this place an obligated visit if you’re around.
Focused of course on traditional beach dishes such as paellas, seafood and fresh fish, Can Carlitos invites their guests to share their meals, with ‘tapas’ options that include some classics with a twist: fried calamari (this time, with feta and rocket), gazpacho (a cold Spanish tomato soup) and delicious desserts such as their oreo and strawberries homemade ice-cream.
Opened from 12 pm to 2 am, the beach restaurant is a great option if you want to enjoy a meal with sea views or a cocktail with friends (even if you want to use their take-away service and have your Can Carlitos experience directly on the beach). Visit their website here and don’t miss the opportunity of trying some Spanish classics revisited in a great atmosphere.
