Barcelona is one of the most cosmopolitan cities in Europe and, as so, its gastronomic and leisure offer is wide and full of variety. With this scenario, trying to choose where to spend your nights while visiting the city can be harder than you might think.
The solution when you’re trying to taste and live the authentic experience of a Spanish traditional bar without losing the quality and by tasting some of the best tapas in town is La Barra at Puerto Chico Restaurant, the new project of the owners of Boca Grande.
With a capacity of only 40 people, ‘La Barra‘ (the bar top) occupies only a part of this restaurant, located in Avinguda Diagonal 405, and is dedicated to bring its public the true atmosphere of a classical Spanish bar, taking care of every detail of its decoration which was a project of the interior designer Lázaro Rosa-Violán.
Its gastronomic offer is as traditional as its decoration: big quality canned food and cold meat (such as anchovies, Iberic ‘jamón serrano’…), a selection of cold and hot tapas that include ‘croquetas’, prawns, calamari sandwich (very traditional in Madrid) or huevos estrellados, a mix of egg, ham and potatoes.
In addition, you can also enjoy some of the most traditional dishes in the country and in Catalonia: meat stews or the ‘Mar i Muntanya‘, an exquisite mix of fish and meat that will make you dream of Catalan cuisine.
If you feel like experiencing what a traditional Spanish tapas bar is and you want to enjoy one of the hypes in the city these days, La Barra del Puerto Chico is the place to go. Visit their website here or contact us now to book your table.
