Coming for a visit to Barcelona? If you’re interested in the Spanish art world, you shouldn’t miss the current exhibition at Galeria Joan Prats, one of the references in contemporary art in the city since its opening in 1976.
Committed to spread the work of their artists, that include names like Erick Beltran, Fabian Marcaccio or Alicia Kopf, among many others, the gallery also participates in some of the most famous art fairs like Arco or the Art Basel.
Its current exhibition, dedicated to present some of the most recent work of Albert Borrell, which conceives painting as a space of relationship with the world, it’s the perfect plan if you’re an ‘artie’ visiting the city.
Alfons Borrell, born in Barcelona in the 30s, has dedicated its work mainly to the abstraction, and has participated in group shows at MNAC, MACBA or CCCB, some of the most importan art museums in the city, and received the GAC prize as a recognition for his long career in 20o14.
This exhibition, that shows the importance of color and the debate between subtlety and intensity on Alfons Borell’s work, can be visited until next February 17th in the gallery, located in Balmes 54.
