If you are a foodie you probably already know Carles Abellan, one of the top chefs in Barcelona, whose offer in the city already includes 8 restaurants with different concepts, such as Bravo, Tapas 24 or Suculent.
After winning a Michelin star in 2008, Carles Abellán has become one of the most renowned chefs in Barcelona and it’s now, in 2016, when he will be opening the first restaurant with his name on it, ‘La Barra de Carles‘, that will be located in Passeig de Joan de Borbó, very close to the beach, and that it will offer a menu inspired by the local fishermen and of course some of his most famous tapas.
Very traditional stews and casseroles will be mixed with its signature dishes in a unique location, with a 100 m2 space that will also count with a terrace and where the counter (‘La Barra’) will play a main role, as it happens with traditional tapas restaurants.
There you will be able to taste ‘calderetas‘ (a traditional Catalan dish), fish zarzuelas… and also a complete offer based in vegetables and the products itself.
‘La Barra de Carles’ will be opening in the beginning of this year, so stay tuned to his social media channels and this blog to learn more.
