The hotel movement continues to grow in Barcelona . The Wittmore Hotel has just opened few weeks ago in the Gotico district in Ciutat Vella.
The Wittmore Hotel, is a small five-star hotel whose primary key is the sophistication of British inspiration: low intensity lights, fabric-covered walls , painted with floral paper, carpet , chairs velvet or tweed and an imposing library. The entire hotel revolves around its vertical garden, a layout designed by the architectural firm Ballarín – Grinyó in collaboration with the interior designer Pilar Lebanon. On the last floor of the hotel, you will find a beautiful rooftop, overlooking the city and the cathedral of Santa Maria del Mar, the Basilica of the Mercè , and Santa Maria del Pi.
The hotel has a total of 22 bedrooms, each of them carefully decorated, inspired by the Bristish Style, especially by the Chiltern Firehouse London.
The restaurant and bar area, are exactly what was needed in Barcelona old town: a sophisticated and cosy atmosphere, with an outdoor patio, surrounded by a vertical garden, offering the perfect spot to enjoy a dinner during the warm summer nights. The menu offers a variety of French/Mediterranean food, carefully created by the famous chef, Albert Ventura.
This hotel is definitely a hidden-gem worth discovering, which will welcome the most curious travellers & locals of Barcelona and abroad.
